Planned gifts have an enormous and lasting impact on children and families served by Crittenton Centers, creating a legacy for families that lasts for generations. Planned gifts also form part of an overall financial plan that can provide you with significant benefits. For example, planned gifts can help you maintain control of your assets during your lifetime, take advantage of a number of tax benefits, leave a legacy at Crittenton Centers, and possibly even provide income to yourself or others during your or their lifetime. Unlike gifts of cash, planned gifts typically come from assets in your estate, rather than disposable income.

For more information about how to start your journey to leaving a legacy for generations of children you can reach our Development Director, at development@crittentoncenters.org.

Many employees have the option of increasing their impact to the Crittenton Centers through their company’s matching gift program. Before making a gift please check with your employer about matching gift opportunities available to you. Many employers will match their employees and/or retirees’ gifts to non-profit organizations – allowing your gift to go twice as far—including year-end gifts!

Locally we have received matching gifts from Caterpillar, RLI Corp., and State Farm most often but most Human Resources departments maintain information about such programs as well as the appropriate forms needed for the matching gift.

If you need any support with this process from Crittenton Centers please email development@crittentoncenters.org

If you are interested in generating a secure stream of income, reducing taxes, and helping the Crittenton Centers with a charitable gift, the we can work with you and your Professional Advisor to establish either a Charitable Gift Annuity or a Charitable Remainder Trust.

A Charitable Lead Trust (CLT) is the reverse of the Charitable Remainder Trust. The Trust distributes income to a charity for a period of years or throughout your lifetime with the assets returning to you, or more typically, to family members. The CLT allows you to make a significant gift Crittenton Centers and transfer assets to family members with reduced or no gift and estate taxes.

A Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) is a common and effective estate planning tool designed to reduce the taxable income of individuals. A donor may use a CRT to disperse income to the trust beneficiaries (such as a spouse or other family member) for a specified period and donates the remainder to the designated charity.

Donor Advisors to funds at the Crittenton Centers may submit this form to designate a grant to an organization for specified purposes.

Thank you for your interest in having an event to benefit Crittenton Centers.  Being an ambassador is important to the work we do to protect and nurture children and families.  We are able to serve children and families because of your help.  Every gift of time, talent, and financial assistance helps us serve children and families at-risk.  Together, we can be apart of a Legacy Movement! With your help, we can continue to meet the needs of every child and family that comes through our doors.  Beyond our trained staff, your fundraiser helps us provide care for children in Crisis, a quality Child Development Center, and a Family Services program.
