You Are Not Alone – We Are Here to Help!

Anyone could attest to the fact that living in quarantine hasn’t necessarily been easy. Many individuals and families alike may be struggling more now than ever. That said, Crittenton Centers has stepped up to ensure we continue to live up to our mission of protecting and nurturing children and families, especially during this time of crisis.

With the state’s current shelter-in-place order having been extended through the end of April, some families may be struggling to navigate parenting without the usual support of school teachers. This is to be expected, especially with how suddenly everyone has had to make drastic changes to their daily lives. That said, at Crittenton Centers, we are happy to be able to assist with this unprecedented time through our Milestones Program.

The Milestones Program provides a strength-based model built on the acknowledgment of family strengths. This model recognizes the important role that parents have in their child’s life. Our Parent Educators work with parents enrolled in the Milestones Program to identify strengths and use them to develop a support system to help them raise their children. The program offers home visits, parent/child activities, developmental screenings, family education opportunities, monthly parents night, and workshops focusing on positive behavior management.

Thanks to the availability of technology, we are able to continue the majority of the aspects of the Milestones Program with families via telecommunication during this time.

Please reach out to us if you or someone you know may be interested in any of our services. We’d be more than happy to extend a helping hand.
