Family Advocacy Center
Empowering & Uplifting Families.

As much as we love strong families, we love the act of strengthening families even more. It’s the reason we arrive early to work. The reason we stay late. We do not measure success by the hands on a clock but by the lives we touch – by educating and uplifting parents, by encouraging and nurturing families, and by protecting and preventing child abuse and neglect.
Our programs and curriculums are deliberate, purposeful. Each designed as a building block to strengthen and improve the quality of life of those who seek our guidance. It’s a journey we share with you, and at the heart of our efforts is the Family Advocacy Center.

Family Advocacy Center
At Crittenton Centers’ Family Advocacy Center, our priority is family reunification and the prevention of substitute care placement by promoting safety, permanency, and the well-being of each child. In addition, we serve as Family Advocates with services for families involved in the child welfare system, giving them the support they need during this time, including:
- Advocacy: Helping parents navigate the court system and case management requirements.
- Mentoring: Helping develop both short- and long-term goals.
- Communication Resource Referrals: Helping families connect with all other needed community services.
- Education: Providing parent education classes, support groups, anger management, and parent coaching.
Positive Parenting Program
Another successful program here at Crittenton Centers is the Positive Parenting Program or Triple P. This evidence-based program offers parents simple and practical strategies to help parents manage their children’s behavior. The results are stronger, healthier relationships – serving children 6-12 years of age in DCFS intact, guardianship, or post-adopt families.
All Crittenton Centers’ Family Services Programs are free. To learn more or for eligibility requirements, please contact our Family Services Coordinator at (309) 674-0105 or email us at [email protected].
